What a great joy... Facebook found my twin... haha.. we called each other as twin because, first we had the same name "Lydia"... although hers a bit longer "Lydiana", then we played together, serving church together, dancing hip hop as a team together, performed together few times in church, also we have the same character in being "people person".
We have not seen each other for 10 years, lost contact, lost news about each other. Until... FECEBOOK open doors for us to catch up again haha... Amazing ... We met in Indonesia 10 years ago, we meet again in Singapore 10 years later, and soon we'll meet each other again either in Singapore or Sydney. It's so fun to meet you again Lyd. You're such an open and honest person, although we had been separated for 10 years, yet in only one day to catch up, already make me feel so close again with who you are as a person. No matter how long and where will we meet again, I'm so grateful for having a unique twin friend like you. Ow... one more... Your parents are so wonderful, I will not delete Om Bud's voice on my hand phone voice mail. In this Edward & Angel's wedding, they have a very cool SABO, and the posche car... Every time I shoot their expressions, shows how confidence they are as a person, their eyes always looked at each other confidently. It's true like what Pastor Kong has said before... the best gift we could give to our spouse, is not houses, not money, not the ring, but the healthy of us as a person individually, which is the most precious gift that could bring the real happiness to the loved ones. Forgiveness ... is really really hard ... specially when somebody treated us unfairly, it's hurt. But just want to share this true story of life changing experience that I've just heard from Dr. Janto's preaching on Sunday. There is a song "Touch My Heart" created by a girl who has a friend that being abused and raped by her own father, until she became insane. To a point she needed to be chained at home. One day, the chain was loose and unattached. Immediately the thing came to her mind is to kill her father. When she arose, she saw Jesus with His white robe and said, "You must forgive your father". She was screaming, hitting and crying loudly with her broken heart that couldn't forgive. But God embrace her and said, "I love you". Eventhough with the many struggle she still has in her heart, yet she choose to forgive her father. And now her family is being restored. From there, this song "Father, Touch My Heart" was written.

My Birthday Journey

Yesterday around 3 pm, I received a phone call, "Hi Lydia, this is Alycia... my wedding would be coming up in 6 months time, and I would like to meet you for a discussion of your services. Really love your works, I'm working as a nurse and this few months would be very busy for me... I have only tonight to meet you up at 11.15 or 11.30pm at Orchard's 24 hour mc donald." I was quiet shock of the timing, so I said "Is it possible earlier or latest at 11pm?" But this "Alycia" answered, "So sorry, I can't leave before 11.30pm actually. Can only meet you after 11pm". And so I said ok. Once I got there, suddenly I'm surrounded by happy birthday song from some friends, hahaha what a smart plan of Santy and Yuli. Although I had already suspicious, but Yuli managed to distract me with her call and sharing of her tiredness in preparing her hip hop team which was going to perform in President Charity on that night as well, and Santy distract me with her invitation on tomorrow's outing at East Coast. hahaha very smart and very well planned. Thank you Santy, Yuli, Daisy, Suang, Tepi, Simon, Colin AKA Bernard haha, Chealvy, April, Rachelle for being part to make this an unforgettable surprise birthday and meaningful moments. Thanks for Caroline too, spending quality time in celebrating my birthday. Thank you also for all my friends that giving me birthday greetings on facebook, phone calls and phone sms. And for one "angel" who doesn't want me to reveal the name, the angel who always believing in me more than I believe in myself, gave a special present for me, treasure the passion in me. Thank you for being a great inspiration and really treasure what you've done. And today on 31 January, I was at East Coast when I heard another birthday song ,"Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to.... dede... Happy birthday to you," ... and I was just in tears, couldn't control at all... I heard my Dad, my Mum, my Brother... sing choir together for me.. this was really a touching history of my family, never happen like this before haha ... what a creative family. Thank you Mum, Dad, Koko... your voice warm my heart so much. Make me feel so special. I'm really speechless ... surrounded by so many people who believe in me, showered by the many people who love and care for me. God is really showing me SO STRONG how precious I am as His daughter, "kesayangannya" King of Kings. He is the very best friend who has always been involving Himself in every part of my life. Irish Coffee

Irish coffee... born from a heart who cares to serve and meet the need. The original Irish coffee was invented by Joseph Sheridan, a head chef at Foynes, County Limerick. Foynes' port was the precursor to Shannon International Airport in the west of Ireland; the coffee was conceived after a group of American passengers disembarked from a Pan Am flying boat on a miserable winter evening in the 1940s. Sheridan added whiskey to the coffee to warm the passengers. After the passengers asked if they were being served Brazilian coffee, Sheridan told them it was Irish coffee. And here I was at Coffee Nations Cafe, drinking the best Irish coffee that I've ever tasted in Singapore, it's cheap la huahahaha, only around 5 bucks, plus drink it with nice friends around like Joyce, Rosa and Jenny, makes everything perfect. =P

In Singapore... I meet a lot of new friends always every single week, especially Indonesian. But very often farewells are happening as well. And today I spend time for the last photo hunting together with Lisa before she is leaving Singapore soon. Really treasure this few times hanging out with her. We start photo shooting session from 8.30 am until 8.30 pm. There were some people involved in this team. Desmond the main and brilliant photographer, assistants photographer me, Sen Ming and Maggie, Daphne who did the 4 different sets of fabulous make up for all the beautiful models, Lydia Lau, Josephine, Diana, Adeline. I'm so grateful being around with people who lives out their passion. Have you ever noticed the difference passion makes? People with passion enjoy the climb as much as they enjoy reaching the summit. It creates a fire that never goes out. It was a long day, but if you love what you do, being around people with passion, you'll never work another day in your life. Thank you Desmond, I learned a lot from you, you're such an excellence, fun and hilarious photographer, your passion is a fire lighter to everybody. I'm so glad to be part of the team.

New Relationship Through A Language Of Camera

It is amazing how a camera could speak languages, give birth to a new relationship. I met this little girl named Caleigh yesterday in a friend's wedding. We were both stranger to one and another. But when I started to shoot around, I looked at this flower girl and took some candid photos of her emotion.

However she knew and realized that I was taking her picture. Miraculously she communicate back to me and my camera. Though I was in a few meters away from her, but she often looked at me, smile, pose, even dancing ... walking step by step closer ... closer ... and closer to where I was sitting holding my camera, with my friend beside me. These pictures shows her communication of being secure and confidently accepting my interest toward her pictures. So refreshing. There... our sweet relationship began =)

Homelessness

A person who is houseless does not have a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence. This person may be sleeping on the streets, with friends or family, in cars or abandoned buildings or in shelters. But people who don't have shelter are houseless - not homeless! Homelessness has nothing to do with a lack of shelter. Homelessness is about a lack of connectedness. Belonging somewhere is about belonging with other people. Like belonging to a family or local community. Some people may have no house but they are not homeless. Some other may have more than one house but actually... inside of them, they might be homeless. So who is the poorest? The "Houseless" or the "Homeless"? It's the matter of the heart ... (Inspired by Rebeccas Community in helping houseless people finds hope)

My Friendship With Rainbow

This Video was created last year hahaha... when I still edit it using Windows Movie Maker. The first video was taken using my camera pocket in Melbourne June 2007, and the photos were taken when I was in Ubin trip on November 2007. Rainbow is really special, God put a rainbow in the sky as a covenant and promise to remind His people that He would never destroy all mankind by water again. The rainbow is also a symbol of God’s faithfulness and mercy. (Genesis 8:13-17)

And when I see this video again ... I'm so in tears reminded by my journey with His rainbow. 2007 was the toughest year for me, I thought I couldn't even make it and have courage to move on. I gave up. But His rainbow always shows up, again, again and again. When I look at my life right now after this one year ... I still love God, love His church, serve Him, I could step out do business in this country as foreigner, I could have video and photo camera equipment even though through installment and paid the price by working hard. Debt free, paid rental fee, installment and all the bills monthly regularly. My mum healed from cancer, ... All of this is because God never never never give up on me. If I look at myself, this Lydia is really not perfect at all ... but now I understand why bible says, "when I am weak, I'm strong, when I'm poor, I'm rich" ... is because Jesus was never give up to died for me on the cross, even now He is still never give up praying for me every single moment. After all this years .. God is truly faithful and full of mercy, and He is God of His word. Thank you... Rainbow, for never give up on me.

New Year's Journey

In one night, so many things going on. In one year, some things may happen according to my way, but some things were not. Some brought happiness, some brought sadness and dissapointment. Regardless of any circumstances and how things may appear right now, cultivating a spirit of gratefulness is wonderful to embrace this New Year. Grateful attitudes never develop automatically. Need to cultivate them and train them much like programming a computer. Life is like a garden, we will grow what we cultivate. Gratefulness will come when you cultivate it in the soil of your life. And in 2008 I'm so thankful for my camera and my blog, gave me a place to cultivate a spirit of gratefulness, gives me a new perspective of life, and courage to embrace 2009 with a new hope, a new heart, a new beginning. Happy New Year ... May 2009 be the best year for all of you =)

The Joy of Not Giving Up

Today I was encounter a super BIG miracle! This was my first time using HDV format in recording with SONY Camera and editing in HDV format for video express wedding project. And I loveeeee HDV format... Oh my God... the details of video movement and zoom are so clear and sharp. BUT.... when I was capturing to my pc in HD format... need a very long time and steps and some bugs of conforming the video to edit into a usual video express wedding show format size.
Errr... if you guys don't understand this language haha it's ok =) ... the point is... I got heart attack thousands times!!! Doing with both my pc and laptop to make it works and faster... kept editing within only less than 6 hours deadline. And I scream "ARGGGHHHH, why I experiment this new format in a wrong timing, and in a rush project like this, not suppose to take this risk at this short time". BUT I kept doing, praying, editing, finding solution here and there... with still maintaining the quality of HD. AND NOT GIVE UP!!! Finally ... HOORAYY!!! I finished and delivered the dvd at 7 pm ON TIME. It was a MIRACLE, if not God, I don't know who else. It's amazing to know when we never give up on what God has given to us... we'll discover that He is God who never never never even once give up on us as well.

Another miracle is there was a fantastic photographer today. William, I don't know whether you read this blog or not... but really really thank you for covered me a lot, specially in hokkien languages to the uncles and aunties, bought smile to the people, help to make the video looks good as well. With you around really makes the atmosphere so enjoyable not only to me, I believe to every single person including the couple, Wei Hao & Mei Yan as well. William, your attitude has really makes everyone likes you, I've learned a lot from you today. Thank you, appreciate your friendliness, gave me a ride home, taught me, shared with me your experiences generously. You are amazing photographer. =)

Dear my beloved blog readers, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! So sorry to delay my blog update for quiet some time. Was rushing my works for different clients with tight deadlines like mad. But.... I LOVE MY JOB .... SO MUCH. I'm really in love with my job's adventure day by day ha ha. I give one sample, tonight I was in a shooting project for NLCC (New Life Community Church) Dazzling Christmas event on Christmas Eve. Also just has done the video presentation (above) for their event. Even though I was working and shooting, but every shots that I took... bring a great blessings and joy to me. This is what I learn from Maggie Steber, national geographic photographer. Lost my voice, coughing non stop ... oh man ... yet days must go on. My body was so tired, aching, leg pain ... in the midst of tight events and projects schedule today. I had a meeting, Indonesian service, fellowship since morning ... and in the evening preparing for an excited Christmas Dinner & Dance event for ICG6 with my faithful helper, Xiang2. To be honest, with Xiang2 being there this whole day, really lighten my burden a lot lot lot lot. Her action and initiative in serving really excellence and has gone extra miles in details. In times I couldn't speak, she speaks on my behalf. In times of sacrificing, she reward me with my favorite Starbuck's Dark Cherry Mocha. In times of my energy has lost, she walk and ran on behalf of me. In times of my non stop coughing was really disturbing, she ran to get a gelly drink to sooth my throat. In times of phone calls need my attention, she answered on my behalf, took my responsibility and covered me. In times of preparing the best for D&D event, she prepared the excel sheet with solutions in her mind ready for my options. Xiang2, thank you for running together with me, my heart, my burden and responsibility with excellence and willingness attitude. Really touched by your love, servanthood and loyalty. The Joy Of Design

Today I had 2 project shooting since morning. What a great blessings and enjoyment to always come out with new creative ideas and ways to serve. But my body was feeling not well. Specially in the evening, vomited three times. Oh my goodness, coughing whole day ... really disturbing specially in times like this when I have a lot of projects to finish and need 100% concentrate with my body, soul and mind. Few hours after vomited, I ate some sweet corn, biscuits and cereal, wanted to have some rest but couldn't sleep. So I decided to sit down, and try to finish one design of SKIN emailer ... Oh la la I couldn't imagine I still can produced this art, "design" has been always amazed me, given me joy and heals me. I guess I could feel the joy of the Lord, specially when He designed me, mold me in special ways even when I couldn't understand. No wonder the joy of the Lord is my strength and make my soul rejoice again... just because of today is another creative day that He has made.

To be honest, I could not even see myself that way, but Andri has been saying this encouragement words since we were in City Harvest Indonesian Maids ministry together on the year of 2004. He is a man after God's own heart and was one of my most faithful, loyal, committed in serving me. Even when I faced many struggles and tough times in my life, instead of criticizing, he choose to still be there trusting me with his heart, supporting me with his energy, praying for me, serving me and the people that were under my leadership. He is not only a great team player in the ministry, not only a good member, but he is also a powerful leader and a friend of mine. Even until now, although Andri has moved to stay in Australia, but with his dearly wife, Rorra, both of them are still loving me, supporting me and trusting me with their heart. Dear Andri & Rorra, all that you've done, means a lot for me. Responsibility Is A Choice

Unforgettable moment and experience. As thousands of people are queuing for Asia Conference, the usher with their T-shirt motto "I Serve, Can I help You?" ... walking around giving bottles of mineral water to the multitudes.

And I saw one Usher that catch my attention. This hunchback guy serving as Usher, walking around many many times to different area of the queue, giving bottles of water to the people. Hours upon hours, he was still walking front and back, making sure nobody lacked of water. God taught me something here, this guy could have millions of rights to complain about his life much more than us and serve his own feeling. But this guy choose to serving God and serving the need of others. What led him to be boldly made that decision?

Rejection, hurt, discouragement, disappointment, feeling of being treated unfair, self pity ... has been experienced in my life journey and I believe in anyone's life journey as well. Many times our reaction is embracing victim mentality, become bitter, blaming others, blaming situations and blaming ourselves. I guess this is the usual respond from majority of human being. But unusual respond is always a choice. I believe this is what makes this hunchback guy boldly embracing an overcomer mentality rather than victim mentality, by courageously making an unusual decision: willingness to take responsible of our own life. When you do what you can, God will do what you can't.

I have so many life-changing story until I don't know how to share all in this blog. But I'll start from the wonderful service with Pastor Phil Pringle. When Pastor Phil praying for each nations, On my God, my heart was so touched by Almighty God, King of Kings, Lord of Lords ... for every minister, every nation, every labor that has done for Your name's sake, every person that sacrifice... You remember!!! He is a great Rewarder.

Well ... I must say my body was really really super tired. But ... my spirit is alive ^ ^ Only by His grace haha... plus a cup of coffee ... plus a reunion with many many many many old timer friends ... alive my soul.

Nanz Chong-Komo ... she is my idol, her life lesson as a woman, a mother of three kids, an entrepreneur, her book mentor me a lot. Today I attended one of the Asia Conference electives class with Nanz as the speaker. Her personality similar like mine, always have the courage to take risk in many things on our journey of reaching our dreams, that's also the reason we could have more chances encounter with many failures. She went through bankruptcy cause her ONE99 shop in Singapore closed down, was horrified to detect a loss of more than $200,000 worth of goods. But I'll never forget, her sharing today about Failure, is actually Mother Of Success. Knowing Failure without understanding its purpose will only cause a person to lose self-esteem and direction. You need to let failure school you, not ruin you. Failure is a fact of life, not the end of it. Failure is really just a step toward success! Failure pushes you out of your comfort zone. But it also forces you to try new things - and new things can be fun, and they can also lead you to new opportunities! What a strong inspiration for my life. She said one thing on her book, that I'll never forget,"The most important lesson I have learnt is to turn my back on regrets, and to look ahead and keep dreaming".

On the first day, I've already felt so blessed to be in this place, encounter life-transforming experience. What a great church and generous pastors that I have in CHC. Pastor Kong has always been sacrifice and blessed many nations with Jesus's heart lives amazingly in him. I'm forever grateful for I'm in God's family like this. The church God knows that are faithful and true, strengthen the week, hearts are healed, Christ is revealed.

In The Shoes ... Of The Sick

Hariani Liauw ... a 23 years old Indonesian girl was on vacation in Bali last October. But when she was on recreational activity, Parasailing, the harness which was connected to the boat broken. That accident caused her to fall down from a very high-lift of 30m. Her nerves system broken, she is now paralyzed from chest below due to broken spinal cord. Until this moment, she is still very much depended on a small white-blue tube which helps her to breathe and talk. I could imagine her pain of her throat is really undescribable, also the feeling and the pressure that her family encounter every day.

But when we was visiting her, the first word she say was, "Hello, Hello, Hellllloooooo.... wahhhh so happy... so many people and friends here visiting me." She used her big effort to say that loudly and smile cheerfully until each of around 20 people of us could hear her welcoming voice. She was so friendly and warm despite of her condition. What a great difference she has made to each of us, how much more to many people that are sick out there in this world. She has faith and love, strongly lives inside her heart. Hariani, no matter how people think of you. You're forever unique and a great blessing. On this journey of faith, we'll believing and running together with you. And witnessing together what Jesus has said to you,"YOUR FAITH has made you well".

Dear friends, you could run together with her as well. Currently her family has financially need to support all of her medication fee. And Hariani needs support emotionally, no matter who visit her, would always bring a great joy for her knowing that she is not alone. And your prayer is very much needed. When we pray together, the place of agreement is the place of power. In my life journey, many times I could understand more when I step into others shoes. Christopher is such a happy and active child. He has a dedicated parents who love him very much, taking care of him very well and always hope the best for him. On the day of his first birthday party, his cute action and smile always spread the joy and warm to every heart surround him, including me the photographer =) And I realized one thing ... in the shoes of a child who know that he is very much treasured and loved, truly make him grow healthy, happy and whole as a wonderful child. It's so impactful and bring joy even to the people surround him.

Today as I start a new busy day again ... I spend some time with God and He wants me to remember always how much He loves and values me. God never does anything accidentally and He never makes mistakes. He has a reason for everything He creates. He was thinking of each of us even before He made the world. He is love and He wanted to make you in order to express His love. So I want to be like that child who always know and simply believes that he is loved. Every time I know I am loved, wow I'm amazed to look at myself, it's not Lydia anymore but it's Jesus who lives in me. His love changes me. His love empowers me. His love takes me to new levels. His love gives me eternal life. I want to believe that I AM LOVED, no matter what. That's how I could bring happiness to people surround me as well =)

A Journey Of Trusting God

When I saw Punggol beach, wondering what was in His mind when He created this... the ocean, the sunset, the wave, stone... what was in His imagination. It's so magnificent. I guess to make a step of trusting God, is just simply remember that His ways are higher than our ways, His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, His dream for our life is so much greater than we could imagine. Really challenge me to dream bigger with higher imagination. Will it be risky? Absolutely, every step of faith always have risk involved. What A Great Lesson to Serve

Dear my blog reader ... thank your for your patience and eagerness to read my blog everyday. My heart is so in love to keep in touch with everyone. This past few days, I've been busy with video and photo projects. My body is super aching now, everyday working hard, woke up early morning till late of night. Even now I'm really tired. But guess what ... one thing I really amazed, is to experience the creativity that God has put inside of me. Which is also His DNA because His name is Elohim ... Creator of the universe. And His creativity lives inside of me. That makes me passionate to do more, differently and innovative ways with the result more than I could imagine. And I'm so excited to show everyone a glimpse of His creativity through my work.

But I learn one most important and valuable lesson in this few days. That is servant hood. This will determine whether we could be a good steward of every gift and talent that God has trusted us with. Taking photos and video is not an easy job. The efforts are really speechless and required all emotions, creative thinking, solution, physically demanding, sharp eyes, quick action, photoshoping in hours ... Makes me more and more appreciate all videographer & photographer around the world right now. I feel they are Great People. "Great people are always willing to be little" said John C. Maxwell. Servant hood is a choice. Martin Luther King. JR. said, "Everyone can be great ... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love."

The most beautiful scene I've ever seen in these monkeys. Specially the mother and the baby monkey. There were so many people taking pictures of them. And that moment, this mother was not sure whether these people were harmless. One thing she never gave up, was keep protecting her baby with her embracing hands, at all times, at all unknown conditions and situations.

I think that baby monkey was not understand what's going on. And wondering why he was not allowed to just walking and playing around. Well it reminded me when I was little, I was not understand why I could not walking and playing around as free as I wanted to. I felt so bored. But actually... it was my Mum who protecting me with the best she knew how.

"Mom, I just bought a camera, using a loan from bank, but now I have 2 projects already ..." I said when I was on the international phone call with my Mum yesterday, she has just recovered from cancer and staying in Bandung, Indonesia. And she asked "How about your daily living cost, must share with us more, don't keep every burden to yourself ya." ... "I could still survive here, Mum. Don't worry ... will have more projects coming soon," I said with tears in my eyes. Her words means so much for me at this moment. Give courage to my heart. It's been a tough times for her since she knew that she had a womb cancer. But yet her willingness to protect me is always endless. Thank you Mum, the care you've given and the love you've shown, have enriched my life in more ways than I can count. I hope I could bring you happiness ...

Is A Leader Born Or Made?

ICG6 ... a small christian group which is part of Indonesian Service City Harvest Church big family. I'm so honored to serve these people. Today we had a big challenge which happened in last minute, finding a place to conduct our cell group. But yet finally we found it and the cell group was great, atmosphere was so strong even in the midst of pressurized using the place for only a very short time. But everybody is running together with me as their leader. Today when I looked at them, I knew I was not running the cg with normal members, but I was running with extraordinary leaders, who makes things happen together.

Some people are born with natural leadership qualities that need to be developed. But don't look at leadership as something attainable only by rare individuals with great talents. God delights in using common people to accomplish uncommon things. Common people with uncommon goals who make an uncommon commitment can help an uncommon number of people who can also lead other common people to do uncommon things. ICG6 ... all of you are HEROES in my heart and LEADERS in my journey.

Met as strangers in Indonesia 12 years ago, known as seasonal relationship 10 years ago, draw close as friend in Singapore this year. When we first met, we were just knowing each other casually. Say "Hi" and "Bye" within few minutes. But right now, we are saying "Hi" and spend time as if there is no "Bye". Ha Ha Ha ... interesting! We have a special connection because our identities and destinies are inextricably linked by God's design. When a person committed to their personal growth and destiny, that makes grow up really a fun journey with unpredictable divine connections always at the right time. Foreigner ... That's what we are called, for people from Indonesia, China, Japan, India and other country, who came for studying or working in Singapore. Every foreigner have this thought in mind "Will I be a lone ranger in this country?". I've seen many foreigners living as lone rangers here. But yet, I've seen foreigners living as if they are at home in this country. Today I was attending Unit Asia Jazz Concert in Singapore Concert Hall together with a group of Indonesians. Since I lived in Singapore, I've always given a chance to meet new people very often, specially Indonesians. And today I met another two new Indonesians who came here for a job. We were enjoying our time together, laughing together, care for one and another... feels like having a family here. Why is this happening?

I guess it's because we were created to give. Perhaps you feel you have nothing to give and you are a nobody. But the truth is .. you are somebody, and sure you could be a giver. This is what I see in a beautiful friendship today. Some give a smile, another person give a hug. Few person do some menial but meaningful task to help someone. Initiative contact few friends to join. Waiting for one another. Taking pictures. Being there together, tell jokes, sharing and laughing together. Share umbrella. All that simple actions ... strengthen one another, create a warm family touch to everyone's journey even though we are far away from home. Friends, somebody needs what you have to share. Somebody needs your friendship. Because you are unique, and God didn't make you to function as "Lone Rangers". Every single one of you .... is SOMEBODY even to SOMEONE. You could start from a simple action ... SMILE =) , that's make a huge difference on our journey.

Yesterday I was so blessed by the sermon of Pastor Kong and Pastor Aries. The message was about as a man thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7).

And I learned a lot from this illustration that was mentioned. Using high-speed photography, Dr. Masaru Emoto discovered that crystals formed in frozen water reveal changes when specific, concentrated thoughts are directed toward them. He found that water from clear springs and water that has been exposed to loving words shows brilliant, complex, and colorful snowflake patterns. In contrast, polluted water, or water exposed to negative thoughts, forms incomplete, asymmetrical patterns with dull colors. Molecules of water are affected by thoughts, words, and feelings. As we ourselves are water, no matter where we are, our thoughts, our words and our feelings, could impact the earth and our personal well being either positively or negatively.

And God, the Creator of this universe ... with His magnificent thoughts made this Lydia with her body contain 60-70% of water like most people. Lord, You have done Your part amazingly, every single moment always admire and have confidence towards me, simply because I'm fearfully and wonderfully made by Your loving hands. So I want to do my part, to think, speak and feel positively about who I am, like how You think, speak and feel about me. So that I could have the capacity with all of my mind, my word and my heart, keep running together with You, with Your mind, Your word and Your heart, faithfully ... all the days of my life.

Adams described himself as a photographer — lecturer — writer. It would perhaps be more accurate to say that he was simply — indeed, compulsively — a communicator. He endlessly traveled the country in pursuit of both the natural beauty he revered and photographed and the audiences he required. Adams felt an intense commitment to promoting photography as a fine art and played a key role in the establishment of the first museum department of photography, at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The work at the museum fostered the closest relationships of Adams's life, with Beaumont and Nancy Newhall, a historian and museum administrator and a writer-designer, respectively.

As Beaumont Newhall writes in his FOCUS: Memoirs of a Life in Photography (1993), "Ansel was a great party man and loved to entertain. He had a very dominating personality, and would always be the center of attention"

Alamak Lydia!!! Nasi Goreng only what!!! hahaha Exactly.. this is nasi goreng, but it's an extraordinary nasi goreng hor ... this is my first time cooking again since many years ago. I've been living alone for 12 years, renting a room without any kitchen could be used for cooking like this. And guess what ... I did great ... it was super delicious!!! Haha this is what happen when an extraordinary food stylist believing in an ordinary photographer. Thank you Yuli, you made this journey of life so colourful in discovering this amazing Lydia day by day.

Being Different!

"Hi Uncle, would you mind drive me to 75 bedok food court and wait for me to buy a porridge for my friend who is sick right now, then go to her place at Paya Lebar." Actually I've prepared my heart to face a rude answer from the usual Singaporean taxi driver. But... no choice, I had to try it since I was rushing.

"Sure, let me drive you there" ... said the taxi driver. And along the way he was very kind, willing to wait for me about 5 minutes near the food court, talking with me nicely and politely. This taxi driver is... UNIQUE. I know a lot of common pressure make most of taxi driver here have the rights always to complain. But his attitude was totally different. It was a heavy rain outside, but his kindness in serving with his best really brightened up my day.
Some people always stand out from the crowd. It's hard to work out why; they just do life differently. They are unafraid to express who they are, they will stand up for what they believe no matter what people think of them and keep travelling.

"Ok, total is $11.25, you could just give me $11 will do" said the taxi driver. And I said, "Thank you so much for being so helpful, can I take your picture?"
"Ou .. why?" he asked curiously ... and I said with a big friendly smile, "Because you're unique, Uncle. That's what makes you stand out from the crowd and makes you different ... Thank you for letting me enjoy this journey".

This morning was so silence, as I walked out through the kitchen, I saw an empty garden. I knew ... he was gone ...

Sometimes separation can be difficult, but it's a natural process of life. And it's a season that I experience today with this charming dog. Although we've just met for 2 days, but this friend of mine was being there at the time I'm most needed and bring courage to my soul. Good bye my friend, I will remember you.

Seeing how God could take care of you until the way you are today ... I know He's showing to me that's how God could take care of me as well.

Passion

Passion ... this is what I always see from this close friend of mine, Yuli Maria. She loves food passionately, and her passion sparks her journey. We have quiet a lot of similarity, bubbly people, whenever we spend time together always so free to be who we really are, full of "loud" laughing voices out from our heart ha ha ha. Most important, both of us are people with passion and courageous dreamer.

Today she involved me in her photo shooting session for "Food & Travel" magazine. She is a regular freelancer Food Stylist for this magazine. It's a privilege for me to be there and be part of her passion journey.

Yuli Maria is a creative Food Stylist. I was so amazed to witness her achievement in creating fantastic layout of yummy food according to the theme. And the taste ... oh ... my ... my ... delicious. Passion is really powerful. It is the first step to achievement, increases willpower, changes lives, makes impossibilities possible, changes me. Thank God I found my passion in video, photo & design creativity. Sparks my journey ... oh .. my .. my .. I loveeeeee this journey of my life.

Good morning, my new friend!

"Hello", that was the first word I said to this new friend in the morning. Immediately he came towards me, welcoming my touch gently and embracing me with his face.

My identity journey is one of both connection and separation. Separation and change always go hand in hand. Therefore I want to learn not to resist change, but embrace it in my world. God will use situations, circumstances and people to get us moving in the right direction again. This is what happened today, a new friend of mine, amazingly appeared out of a sudden just at the right time, a new divine connection on this life journey. His strong charming face and the way his eyes looked at me, gives me a new courage to start all my activity today. Thank you . . . for being part of my journey. Everyone could embrace the divine connections happening in this life, let's enjoy our journey start from today and you'll be amazed to see how unique & wonderful is your life. Simply because you're fearfully and wonderfully made .. =)

Identity journey

This dog was found on the streets near my house yesterday, unwanted and homeless. My landlord was generously embrace this dog to stay for a few days until he'll be send away to SPCC (Singapore Pets Care Centre).

While I was sleeping today, this dog was continuously crying aloud, right below the window of my room at 2nd floor. I felt this dog was so disturbing. I went down with my camera, was thinking to take a few shots of him. As I saw him, my heart melted and in tears. This dog has no friends, no family, no house, unwanted and alone. It reminded me of my past. And as I touched him gently, flatter him. I could see a strong sign of happiness shown from his body language. I've never been impressed with any dog before... but he impressed me amazingly. This dog with his big size body like a wolf, strong character outwardly but yet gentle inwardly towards touch and acceptance, open himself to be loved. Made me secure to be near him, taking picture and comforting him in the same time.

And I realize wrestling God on this identity journey will give you something unique -- your very own limp. It is a mark of the experiences you have been through as an individual on your journey. It is something that reminds you of the price you paid to bring the real 'you' to the surface. You can't copy the way someone limps after they have wrestled with God, because their style is individual to them. So I'm thanking God today for every limp in my life journey, has mold me uniquely, and I'm fearfully and wonderfully made.
