The Joy of Not Giving Up

Today I was encounter a super BIG miracle! This was my first time using HDV format in recording with SONY Camera and editing in HDV format for video express wedding project. And I loveeeee HDV format... Oh my God... the details of video movement and zoom are so clear and sharp. BUT.... when I was capturing to my pc in HD format... need a very long time and steps and some bugs of conforming the video to edit into a usual video express wedding show format size.
Errr... if you guys don't understand this language haha it's ok =) ... the point is... I got heart attack thousands times!!! Doing with both my pc and laptop to make it works and faster... kept editing within only less than 6 hours deadline. And I scream "ARGGGHHHH, why I experiment this new format in a wrong timing, and in a rush project like this, not suppose to take this risk at this short time". BUT I kept doing, praying, editing, finding solution here and there... with still maintaining the quality of HD. AND NOT GIVE UP!!! Finally ... HOORAYY!!! I finished and delivered the dvd at 7 pm ON TIME. It was a MIRACLE, if not God, I don't know who else. It's amazing to know when we never give up on what God has given to us... we'll discover that He is God who never never never even once give up on us as well.

Another miracle is there was a fantastic photographer today. William, I don't know whether you read this blog or not... but really really thank you for covered me a lot, specially in hokkien languages to the uncles and aunties, bought smile to the people, help to make the video looks good as well. With you around really makes the atmosphere so enjoyable not only to me, I believe to every single person including the couple, Wei Hao & Mei Yan as well. William, your attitude has really makes everyone likes you, I've learned a lot from you today. Thank you, appreciate your friendliness, gave me a ride home, taught me, shared with me your experiences generously. You are amazing photographer. =)

Christmas Eve

Dear my beloved blog readers, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! So sorry to delay my blog update for quiet some time. Was rushing my works for different clients with tight deadlines like mad. But.... I LOVE MY JOB .... SO MUCH. I'm really in love with my job's adventure day by day ha ha. I give one sample, tonight I was in a shooting project for NLCC (New Life Community Church) Dazzling Christmas event on Christmas Eve. Also just has done the video presentation (above) for their event. Even though I was working and shooting, but every shots that I took... bring a great blessings and joy to me. Pastor Simon, I see you, a servant after God's own heart, humble, sacrifice what you have ... not only for the church merely "EXIST", but to "GROW" and build His Kingdom. Inspite of all the challenge and difficulty in crisis moment, today I still see you stand strong, preach strong, and jump strong too =) ... Thank you for the opportunity for me to serve. Your generosity and opportunity open doors of blessings not only financial but also to my soul. I enjoyed this Christmas Eve's event. One thing I believe... this church will definitely GROW, because of true servant's heart like all of you, Pastor Simon, Ping, Dorcas, Ko Penes, Eddy, Yuli Maria, Lala, and many others. I'm honored to know all of you. Hope the videos would bring a great impact and blessings for NLCC.

An Angel In A Wedding

In a midst of one long day wedding photography journey, this little girl always be there by my side like an angel. Smile to my camera, touch my flash diffuser, holding my hands, hugging me, following me ... she was just so sweet. Her face always show interest to me and my good friend, Canon. haha ... I felt like was playing around with her while in the same time adventuring with Canon, capturing beautiful moments and emotions ... so refreshing. Thank you Vincent and Priscilla for involving me to be part of your special day. Hope these photos could be your angel that bring smile, love and warm to your heart every time you look at it ... forever! =)

Christmas Appreciation 2008

Today, ICG6's Christmas Dinner & Dance 2008 was super fantastic and attended by 38 Indonesian and 1 korean. Singing, Dancing, Having fun together. This is our first event also in making a huge effort to speak english in everything for the sake of our dear korean friend, just because even one soul is precious. But I'm enjoying so much this moment with you guys. And proud of each one of you. Thank you for all your love, trust and support, specially for your hard work. Looking at your effort in decoration, food, dance lyric and songs, christmas songs, games ... I'm really touched, I could be a better leader because of each one of you. You are the one who also make this ICG6 exist and alive. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!! May you always remember how important each one of you in my heart and in God's eyes. Wish you all the best and blessings for the year of 2009. You have a great destiny and together we could make a difference. CONGRATS for those ICG6 awards winners 2008, appreciate each one of you and thank you for being part of this family.

People Photography

Photographing people has opened my eyes to the world in wonderful ways. It's given me a life so rich, because people have shared their lives with me. This is what I learn from Maggie Steber, national geographic photographer. "As photographers, we ask people to be vulnerable before us, and before the world," she says, "so we should approach with humility and be prepared to be open and vulnerable too." These pictures I took for Evelyn's first month birthday party. What a great honor for me to have the trust from her parents Bensan & Merry, to be transparent as their photographer. They've been a great example of a faithful couple, strong in commitment and loyalty, even in the midst of tough situations. Gave me clues to capture what makes them unique as a new parents with their new born lovely daughter.

Gaining Confidence

Busy December!!! Shooting, Editing, Photoshoping, Designing ... amazing & challenging. Since my new friend Canon EOS 450D came into my life this 2 month, change me, inspire me, make me learn many new things. From ZERO confidence... step by step that confidence increase and grow to a new level. Gaining confidence is a journey that is achieved one step at a time. And in any time we step out, there will be challenges, obstacles and sometimes discouragement, but every experience that cause us to stretch builds our confidence. That's how gaining confidence is a process. We may not get it all at once, it happen by taking one step at a time through experiences. Your past experiences have prepared you for where you are right now, and your experiences today will prepare you for your future. Well.. just want to say to my camera, you're my hero. And a big thanks to my blog readers, friends and clients, for all of your support and trust. All of you bring blessings to my life more than what you could imagine!

Unique Photos

Charlz & Allia are really an amazing couple. Their love story is so unique, and each of them has a special character. I'm not just only working on this couple's project, but I'm in love and passionate with this project. Inspired by their funny, cheerful and creative relationship. I'm so greatful to know them and the opportunity for taking their picture. They make me love my job. Although this is my first time taking pre-wedding photos, truly God never puts anyone in a place too small to grow. ^ ^

Elisha

Elisha is a very active girl, loves to running and moving around. It was quiet challenging to take her photos, specially her smiling moment. But once her smile was captured, Elisha is really beautiful and release a great satisfaction for the photographer. ha ha ^ ^
